The lunch buffet is a little pricey but the selection is very good. Always good tasting. Hot & sour soup is the best.

Food was good, clean and well kept, liked that they offered king fish on the buffet options just wish they had more options for dessert. I think the cost for kids is a little pricey. the service was good.

I've eaten here 4 times since my last post. The food is delicious. Same as my first visit. $20 buffet dinner is worth it here, especially when you are famished and craving a variety of Chinese food and are lazy to cook! After hearing horror stories of other buffets from my friends, I'm glad to have this consistently good buffet.

This place is your typical Chinese buffet. They have a large variety of American Chinese food. I'm not a sushi person by my father is and he enjoyed the food here. My favorite part was the dessert section because I am a sweet tooth. Overall the food was hot and the establishment was clean. I will definitely be returning.

98 Pounds Buffet offers a good value for the price. While buffets can sometimes have lower quality food, 98 Pounds offers tasty dishes at an affordable price point. Keep in mind that dinner costs around $20-$25. Rating : 4.2 / 5.

Been there a few times. Usually food is good. The sushi isn't as impressive as you would hope. Place is normally busy, no reservation needed. Has a decent variety of things. They have good deserts. Servers are good at refilling drinks and taking empty plates on a timely manner. Restaurant is usually always warmer than it should to the point it can be a little uncomfortable. Bathrooms there aren't as good as you would hope. One of the toilet seats there wiggle and feel like you are going to fall off. Atmosphere is family friendly and casual. Overall though not a bad buffet but could be better.

If you are talking large Chinese buffets, this is one of the better ones around. It isn't the best I've had in the metro, but it is solid and predictable. I would say 3.5 stars if we could give half stars. Nice sushi selection and decent quality as far as buffets, nothing too wild, but solid. Buffet selections and solid and they keep everything fresh (except some super overdone crab legs last time I was there). Service is generally good, they take plates regularly and refill drinks as needed. The ambiance isn't anything special, not overly kitschy or anything, but not much to catch your eye. My Dad loved this place, so nostalgia is heavy here for me. It won't knock your socks off, but it is a solid buffet at a solid price. It fits the bill if you are looking for a buffet with a lot of choices at a reasonable price.

Haven't been to 98 pounds buffet in awhile and it feels good to be back. The food was great and tasted fresh not dried out from sitting for a long time. The crawfish was easy to eat and not dried out from over cooking. The clams were flavorful and not too salty. The salted five spiced shrimp was good but a little hard to peel. Overall, the buffet s has a nice selection even without crab legs and Korean sliced beef. Table service was prompt and place was clean.
